Actualmente esta visita toma medio día y puede ser en la mañana o en la tarde, Comenzamos en el Museo Arqueológico “R. P. Gustavo Le Paige” ( $ 2000 o U$ 3,7 por persona) en donde aprenderemos por orden cronológico la llegada del primer hombre cazador hasta la Invasión española cerca del museo se encuentra la iglesia colonial que puede visitar todos los días desde las 09h00 hasta las 20h00, otro lugar para ver es una antigua casa que según la historia alojo el conquistador Pedro de Valdivia en su paso por San Pedro de Atacama antes de iniciar la conquista de Chile, Todos estos lugares ubicados alrededor de la plaza. Luego continuanos nuestro camino y a 11 km al sur nos encontramos con ALDEA DE TULOR ($1.500 o U$  2, 7 por persona) uno de los sitios Arqueológicos más importante de la Cultura de Atacameña, allí nosotros veremos la reconstrucción del las casas realizada por la Arqueólogo Sta Ana María Baron que es una réplica exacta de construcciones originales, utilizando los mismos materiales usados por nuestros antecesores, cerca se localiza el sitio antiguo en donde vivieron los primeros hombres sedentarios aproximadamente hace 3.000 años. luego a 14 km al norte, siguiendo el borde del río San Pedro o Atacama llegaremos al PUKARA DE QUITOR ($1.200 o U$ 2,2 por persona) la última y más estratégica fortaleza construida por los atacameños hace 800 años, recorreremos sus callejuelas hasta llegar a su cima, punto de donde se domina por completo Ayllu de Quitor y además los atacameños tenían la vista completa del valle y cordillera del andes, aprenderemos toda su historia caminando por sus senderos y descubriremos el estilo de vida que ellos posein. Finalmente 6 km al norte siempre  siguendo el borde del río estaremos en Tambo de Katarpe, sitio  construido y habitado por el Incas, sólo veremos ruinas pero aún así el lugar es interesante.

Finally 6 km to the north follow the river we’ll stay in Tambo de Katarpe site built and used by the Incas, only it can see ruins but the place is interesting.
